Aspirational opportunities for all, through the breath of God

Partnerships & Clubs

By dividing the food among many Jesus taught us how to SHARE Matthew 14:19

We teach an awe and wonder of the world in which we all live and we encourage our school community to look beyond their immediate locality.

We are really proud of our partnerships which help us to be aspirational in all we do. A number of partnerships have been with us for many years and we are excited and privileged to work alongside them.

Aquila

Aquila is the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust and is has around 12 schools in it's trust. We joined them in 2015 as a full member through choice and have enjoyed working alongside them and sharing good practice. Our pupils have so far enjoyed shared events together such as sports days (which we win!) and opportunities for other cultural events.

Daisychains Nursery

Has been with us since we opened in 2009 and is a private provider of child care for babies, two's and three's. Although private; being on site has allowed the children to socialise with each other, see what school is like for when they are 'grown up,' and see the school in action. Our pupils enjoy seeing their younger family members at playtime and gain so much in being part of the wider community. The nursery uses our large school hall for big events such as Christmas; parents come into these events and for many it is there first time to catch a glimpse of what life is like in a primary. As the School hall is used this is full of wonderful celebration images such as our house points, worship area and prayer station, all celebrating life at St George's.

Little Dragons After School Care

Little Dragons are an OFSTED registered organisation offering after school care, where children can participate in activities such as cooking/baking, outside play/sports,  adventure playground, role play, arts & crafts, homework support, reading, quiet area, ICT, film area, puzzles & games area, construction/building area and so much more.

The club runs 38 weeks of the year Monday - Friday from 3.15pm - 6pm.

Secondary Schools

Our pupils leave year 6 to go to a variety of secondary schools. Around 20% each year go to the grammar schools of Highsted (girls) and Borden (boys). Around 30% go to the local secondary (Oasis) and the remainder go to The Sittingbourne School, Westlands and Fulston Manor.   We are delighted that we keep in touch with our grammar pupils through regular tea parties; this enables our leavers to have continuity with their old school and us to keep on top of how well they are doing in their new schools. Celebratory events are often held at the other secondary schools too.

Minster Abbey

By having faith in Jesus to feed everyone the disciples demonstrated their TRUST Matthew 14:20

We demonstrate our Trust in God by regularly visiting our local VIIth century Abbey for religious worship, to celebrate.

The 7th Century Abbey is our local Church. The pupils not only go there for Easter, Harvest and Christmas to further their own learning about the Christian message but they also enjoy going there to support the curriculum. With so much history in one place they have spent time looking at art, history and the characters who have inhabited the Abbey over the years, giving them a real grounding in their local community.

Breakfast Club

Our breakfast club was set up in 2009 and provides a place for pupils to eat and have some fun from 8am in the morning until school starts.   Our breakfast club is very creative and the pupils enjoy the chance to extend their art skills whilst having good social communication time with their peers and other adults.  The club is situated in the mobile room, near the Daisychains Nursery.  Each session costs £2.50 per day.   All staff are DBS checked and first-aid trained.  Children must be registered before they attend.   Please complete a registration form (below) and return to the school office.
