Welcome to St. George's Church of England Primary School

Aspirational opportunities for all, through the breath of God

Welcome to St. George’s Church of England Primary School

At St. George’s, we celebrate every part of our journey — our successes, our challenges, and the support we give one another along the way. Inspired by the compassion of Jesus and his care for the whole community, we are proud to nurture a school family where everyone is encouraged to grow and thrive.

As a Voluntary Aided Church of England school, our Christian ethos underpins everything we do. We are privileged to serve the heart of the Minster community and maintain a close relationship with Minster Abbey, which plays an important part in the life of our school.

St. George’s CofE Primary School
Minster Abbey was built around the 12th century

With the support of Aquila, The Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust, we strive for excellence — spiritually, academically and socially — in a safe, happy and stimulating environment. Every child is valued and known, and their unique potential is recognised and celebrated.

We believe that education is most powerful when built on partnership. That’s why we work closely with our families to support learning both in school and at home, with regular celebration events and shared milestones.

Our dedicated staff and governors are committed to helping every pupil develop a love of learning, confidence in their abilities, and a deep respect for others and the world around them. Our consistent record of strong outcomes is a testament to our approach — one that places the child at the centre of all we do.

You’ll often find us in the local press or sharing our school highlights on social media — so do follow us on Facebook and check back here for regular updates.
