Governors work with the headteacher and senior leadership team to drive the strategic development of the school and raise standards of achievement. Duties include setting the school's vision, aims and objectives, approving the school budget and appointing the headteacher. They will always act in the best interests of the school and the wider community.
We have three vacancies on our Governing Board:
Appointed Governor
Have the skills and experience required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school. Their appointment will be agreed by the trust board (who provide governance across the whole academy trust).
Co-opted governor
Have the skills and experience required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school. Their appointment will be agreed by the local board.
Parent Governor
Offer a perspective from the parent community on the board, and will be appointed by means of an election held by other parents of the school community.
