Christmas Table Decorations Using Natural Materials
Today Year 5 were given the opportunity to make table decorations using Cedar, Alder and Holly. They generously shared their tinsel and I am sure you will agree that the results are stunning!
Happy Christmas and New Year to everyone!

One more session for Hazel Class
Hazel Class will have their last winter session in January - this will be something to look forward to after Christmas! They have achieved many successes and are gaining confidence with using the hand tools. There are so many stories to tell and I hope that the children have happy memories.
Some students from SkillsNet visited in November to have a taster of Forest School with their tutor. We have to say a great big 'thank you' to Jamie Flagherty and his team who have made the fencing. There is still some way to go but the students were able to see their work in situ.
Steve Merton from Vincent Landscapes helped some of the children plant 60 saplings along the top of the field. These 60 saplings were donated by The Woodland Trust. At the moment there is more supporting cane and rabbit guard than sapling, but in 10 years time!!!
I hope that you have a Happy Christmas and look forward to seeing the children Next Year!
14th September 2016
I hope that this lovely weather continues into next week for the start of Hazel Class' first sessions at Forest School. I attach all the paperwork that the children will be bringing home today. I'm sure that we will all have a brilliant, constructive time.
We have a sign for the Woodland Walk and I think that it looks great. A big thank you to Mr Morgan for all his expertise.
I have never seen the ground so dry. Because of the dry spell we have lost some of our saplings and only one cyclamen has flowered. That's nature for you.
We have been very fortunate in that Phil from Old English Tools in Faversham has donated many hand tools to our Forest School. It is wonderful that our children will be having the opportunity to use hand tools like the Spoke Plane. (Sometimes, they think that all tools are electric.)
