TEXT MESSAGE SYSTEM TO COMMUNICATE ABSENCES WITH THE SCHOOL

Our school has decided to install an automatic communication system that will allow you to contact us directly by text message, to keep the school up dated with any pupil information such as:

  • School Absences
  • Lateness
  • Hospital Appointments

Please note that we will still need to receive the text message notification before 09:30 am on the day of their absence.

Your schools dedicated mobile number is:

07860 005154      (Please note you cannot ring this number – it will only receive text messages.)

All you need to do is just text this number normally like you would text friends and family.  Please make sure you include your child’s full name, class, date of absence and symptoms when texting the school.

The school will be able to text back using the system if we need to reply, however the aim is to free up time in the office, and is just another arm of communication between parents/carers and the school.

The rest of our absence policy remains the same, ie please bring in a note explaining the absence for our file when your child returns to school, or a copy of the medical appointment letter.

During busy hours the office staff receive phone calls asking questions that are not of an urgent nature. By using Text Messages you will help the school.
